Assam CM briefs Vice President on state’s growth story, seeks guidance for ‘Viksit Assam’

New Delhi, June 1: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday called on Vice President CP Radhakrishnan and briefed him on Assam’s development trajectory, while seeking his continued guidance in the state’s journey towards becoming a ‘Viksit Assam’.

Sharing details of the meeting at VP Enclave in a post on X, Sarma said he was honoured to meet the Vice President and apprise him of the ‘Assam Growth Story’.
“Honoured to call upon Hon’ble Vice President of India, Shri @CPR_VP ji today today to brief him on the Assam growth story,” the Chief Minister said.
Sarma described the Vice President as an epitome of humility, hard work and dedication in public life and said interactions with him were always enriching.

“An epitome of humility, hard work and dedication in public life, meeting Radhakrishnan ji is always a learning experience,” he said.
The Chief Minister added that he looked forward to the Vice President’s continued guidance as Assam pursues its developmental goals under the vision of a ‘Viksit Assam’.
The meeting comes amid the Assam Government’s efforts to accelerate economic growth, infrastructure development and social sector reforms as part of its long-term development agenda.
