Five Constituency-Based Mega Health Camps in Kamrup Metropolitan
DD TIMES Kamrup Metropolitan, October 13: The Government of Assam has organized constituency-based Mega Health Camps across the state under the initiative titled “Shushrusha Setu.”
Under this programme, which commenced on September 18, 2025, a total of five Legislative Assembly Constituency-based health camps will be held in Kamrup Metropolitan district.
The primary objective of these health camps is to ensure the early detection of diseases among children and adolescents below 18 years of age and to provide them with necessary healthcare services.
A team of specialist doctors will conduct free medical examinations during these camps. The services will cover more than 50 types of ailments, including pediatric diseases, cardiac ailments, obstetric and gynecological issues, dermatological conditions, neurological disorders, dental problems, developmental delays among children, orthopedic issues, and many others.
Jointly organized by the District Administration, Kamrup Metropolitan, and the District Health Society, Kamrup Metropolitan, the schedule of these Mega Health Camps is as follows:
1. New Guwahati Legislative Assembly Constituency
• Date: October 14, 2025
• Time: From 9:00 AM onwards
• Venue: Assam Engineering Institute, Chandmari, Guwahati
2. Guwahati Central Legislative Assembly Constituency
• Date: October 16, 2025
• Time: From 9:00 AM onwards
• Venue: Arya Vidyapeeth college(Autonomous) Playground
3. Dimoria Legislative Assembly Constituency
• Date: October 24, 2025
• Time: From 9:00 AM onwards
• Venue: Karchia Jogdal Community Hall, Dimoria
4. Dispur Legislative Assembly Constituency
• Date: October 31, 2025
• Time: From 9:00 AM onwards
• Venue: Dakshin Beltola Higher Secondary School.
Through these health camps, the people of Kamrup Metropolitan district will collectively benefit from free and accessible healthcare services provided under the state government’s initiative.
