Uttarayan Group Crowned Champions of Corporate Box Cricket 2.0
DD TIMES Guwahati, 5 October: The much-awaited Corporate Box Cricket 2.0, organised by Sportscraft Management, came to an exciting close yesterday at the Arizona Sports Arena, Borbari.
The grand finale saw an intense face-off between Uttarayan Group and RBI Knights, with both teams displaying exemplary skill and sportsmanship.
Batting first, Uttarayan Group put up a solid total of 100/5 in 8 overs, powered by a brilliant knock from Vivek Ray, who scored 61 runs off just 28 balls.
In reply, RBI Knights managed 72/3 in their 8 overs, falling short despite a determined effort, as Uttarayan Group clinched the championship title.
Individual honours were awarded as follows: Best Batter: Vivek Ray (Uttarayan Group), Best Bowler: Dharani Rabha (Uttarayan Group), Man of the Series: Lakshay (RBI Knights). The final match was officiated by NP Elite, a team owned by Guwahati’s popular cricket commentator Neeraj Poddar.
The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Sheikh Altaf Hussain of Sheikh Brothers as the Chief Guest, who felicitated the winners and commended the organisers for promoting corporate sportsmanship and community engagement.
