President XI emerges Victorious in RG Baruah U-16 Inter-District Cricket Tournament, 2025
DD TIMES: President XI clinched the winner’s trophy in RG Baruah U-16 Inter-District Cricket Tournament,2025 defeating Bokakhat by an Innings and 49 runs in the final match held at BDSA Play Ground, Barpeta on 29th August,2025.
In thrilling final, Bokakhat, after winning the toss opted to bat, Bokakhat in first Innings scored 71/10 in 36.2 overs. Ishan remained unbeaten with 15 off 16 balls, while Digbijoy N. Chetry contributed 11 off 29 balls. President XI’s bowling attack proved too strong, with Aniket Singh (4/15) and Praneet Pagaria (4/25) leading from the front.
In reply, President XI posted 142/10 in 41.1 overs, securing a crucial first-innings lead. Their batting effort was anchored by Reyan Nandey (27 off 47), Aneek Das (26 off 42), and Mrinmoy Das (23 off 36). For Bokakhat, Niraj Urang’s (5/28) and Digbijoy N. Chetry’s 4/46 were the standout performances with the ball.
Facing a stiff task in the second innings, Bokakhat struggled and were dismissed for only 22 runs in 11 overs with Gyanam Sharchit Saikia highest scorer with 9 off 15 balls. For President XI Aniket Singh once again shone with the ball, taking an outstanding 5 wickets for just 5 runs, while Nitrik Raj Gogoi added 2/1
