The 28th Inter-District Yoga Sports Championship to kick off at Nagaon
DD TIMES NAGAON, Nov 14: The 28th Inter-District Y inoga Sports Championship is set to begin on November 15, 2025, at Gopinath Dev Goswami Commerce College’s indoor auditorium in Nagaon.
The event was organized by the Assam Yoga Association, a state level sports organization, recognized by the Assam Olympic Association and Yoga Federation of India. will witness the participation of over a thousand yoga athletes from various districts of Assam.
The championship will feature various categories, including senior junior and sub- junior yogasana, artistic single and pair, rhythmic pair, professional Yogasana and team free-flow events. The valedictory ceremony and prize distribution will be held on November 16, 2025.
The event will be formally inaugurated tomorrow at 10 am by noted athlete and Commonwealth Games gold medalist Arjun Awardee Nayanmoni Saikia, along with other dignitaries, including Assam Yoga Association President Tapan Das, Chairman Dr. Krishna Kumar Bora and College Principal Dr.Mriganka Saikia.
The Assam Yoga Association has invited all to attend the event and witness the display of yoga skills by athletes from across the state.
